Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Thorne Bay Library is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with the purpose of promoting the Thorne Bay Public library and supporting the library through raising funds for its operation, maintenance, and expansion. All residents of Thorne Bay are eligible to become a member of the Friends, and to be an active/voting member, the resident must be a member of the Thorne Bay Library, have an approved Friends membership application on file, and pay annual dues of only $5.00 a year.
The Friends also conduct tours of Thorne Bay and the Library with visiting tour boats, providing not only donations for the library but supporting local artists who sell their crafts to the visitors.
